Sunday, December 18, 2011 will be the 6th annual installment of World Snowboard Day. More than 24 winter sports resorts in 13 countries will organize a variety of free activities in which everyone can participate.
It doesn’t matter whether this will be your first season in the snowboard community or whether you are a wind-chapped veteran with a perma-goggle tan– World Snowboard Day is meant to stoke and to keep stoked the world’s riders. Federations, ski areas, shops, pro riders, associations, and brands will be bringing together an unbelievable program of free lessons for newcomers, contests, demonstrations, equipment tests, film viewings, parties and concerts – all in the name of the board!
EuroSIMA, WSF, Outdoor Sports Valley – who are organizing the event – have doubled their efforts each and every year so that snowboard fever is caught by as many people as possible. As of last year they have joined forces with two additional very important partners, SnowSports Industries America and Core Power Asia, in order to reinforce World Snowboard Day’s presence in North America and Asia. The goal is to offer everyone the opportunity to participate in this one-of-a-kind day in order to discover (for free!) the joys of snowboarding.
