When it comes to a ski vacation, there is no such thing as booking too early. From lift tickets, to equipment rentals, to lodging, planning ahead can make any ski getaway less stressful as well as less expensive. So, while opening day is all the rage right now, early-birds, such as Vail Resorts, already have their sights set on an epic closing day festival.

For snow sport enthusiasts, Spring is considered one of the best times to visit the Rockies. With hopes of warm temperatures, cloudless skies and lots and lots snow, skiers and snowboarders across the world do their best to ditch work and hit the slopes. Now, with the official announcement of its “Spring Back to Vail” promotion, Vail Resorts is giving visitors one more reason to celebrate late this season.

From April 9-15, 2012 Vail is offering deeply discounted lift tickets as well as hosting a number of on-mountain snow events and street parties. Specifically, attractions include end-of-season concerts, Vintage SkiFest at Beaver Creek, and the World Pond Skimming Championships. Additionally, the Antlers at Vail hotel is offering its popular ‘Design Your Own Ski Package’ from April 8 to May 20, 2012. Pay for three nights and the fourth, fifth – and even sixth night is free!

“Spring is absolutely one of the best times to experience Vail,” says Antlers at Vail hotel General Manager Rob LeVine, a Vail local for three decades. “April is actually Colorado’s second-snowiest month, and we often have magnificent snow days with plenty of sunshine late in the season.”

Hurry and start planning – these late season discounts can not be beat!
