Utah’s Park City Mountain Resort, previously named the “Best Family Vacation” by SKI Magazine, recently announced the opening of registration for their StartNOW program. Started in the 2009-2010 season, StartNOW teaches Utah residents (ages 6 and up) to ski or snowboard for the first time. The program includes 5 sessions of ski or snowboard instruction as well as lift ticket access and equipment rentals for $199 (that’s less than $40 a session to learn a priceless sport).
“We created StartNOW to offer an affordable and accessible way to introduce Utah residents to skiing and snowboarding,” said Tom Pettigrew, director of skier services at Park City Mountain Resort. “In the course of the first two seasons of StartNOW we’ve seen amazing success in introducing people to the sport. We are very excited to see a whole new group of First Time Skiers and Snowboarders get hooked during the 2011-2012 StartNOW season.”
