Dust off your skis and snowboards because California’s Mammoth Mountain is officially OPEN! Earlier this morning, the chairlifts of Mammoth popped their seasonal cherries and rode their way up to the summit. The Top of California is celebrating the start of its 2011/2012 winter season this whole weekend; don’t waste another second sitting at your office or sprawled on your couch when enticingly smooth runs await you.
Today’s opening day includes a champagne toast, live music, a film premier of “TB20″, and an after-party at Hyde Lounge. If you’ve missed out on today’s action don’t stress because there’s way more live music, parties, and premieres set up for the next three days, including a performance by Black Lips and Ra Ra Riot on Saturday.
All of the partying and celebrating aside, Mammoth is the leading four-season mountain resort with 3,500 skiable acres, 150 trails, over 400 inches of seasonal snow, and the top-rated Ski and Snowboard School. Mammoth is easily the Number 1 place to be right now to kick start your winter season with freshly groomed runs and the highest quality skiing and riding.
