November 10, 2011, (Truckee, CA) – The High Fives Non-Profit Foundation humbly accepted the 2011 Non-Profit Organization of the Year Award at the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards last night at the Resort at Squaw Creek. Amidst a very impressive and hard working field, the award was presented to the organization and in turn validated the work put forth by the High Fives Foundation in its pursuits to raise money and awareness for athletes who have suffered a life altering injury while pursuing their dream in the winter action sports community.
The Truckee and Tahoe region, along with growing support from the rest of the nation, has allowed for the positive momentum to continue. In the last few months a new program service of the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation, the CR Johnson Healing Center has been opened. This unique Healing Center provides resources for athletes in recovery from sport related injuries and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Resources include: physical therapy, acupuncture, massage and more. Please visit www.crjohnson.org or call 530-587-4453 for more information.
