Nothing compares to the epic New Years Eve in South Lake Tahoe. As crowds gather on the state line between California and Nevada, mayhem and chaos are guaranteed for a spectacular celebration as we count down to 2012. This year, in addition to skiing and snowboarding over your winter break, you can watch the best electronic music selection perform live at the base of the mountain.
This three-day event called, SnowGlobe Music Festival, features a talented line-up of dubstep, electronic, hard techno, and variety of dance-hall to keep your body moving. SnowGlobe Music Festival 2011 will take place at Bijou Park on the Lake Tahoe Community College campus in South Lake Tahoe, California from December 29 – December 31.

Sparking a buzz as the music event of the year, the producers of the SnowGlobe Music Festival have announced a full lineup of artists
scheduled to perform at the inaugural three-day event, including Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Thievery Corporation, The Glitch Mob, Childish Gambino, Theophilus London and many more. Plans for this massive weekend celebration also include reduced-price lift tickets for festival patrons, a spectacular rail jam and a midnight fireworks display on New Year’s Eve.

In an effort to reduce traffic and keep the festival’s patrons safe, SnowGlobe is providing a weekend-long shuttle service to and from designated parking locations throughout South Lake Tahoe. Detailed information can be found on the festival website. The festival will also offer a refill water program as a part of their greening efforts.
