Extreme Wind Delays Mt. Bachelor Opening Day

Oregon’s Mt. Bachelor has been forced to delay its opening day to Thursday, November 24th. Originally planned to open the 2011/2012 winter season on Wednesday, extreme winds have forced every ski lift to a standstill.

The weather forecast for today and tomorrow continues to disappoint, predicting one of the worst ever wind storms with hurricane-like winds of 85 mph. Thankfully, the weather is slated to pull it together for opening day on Thursday.
