Mount Tremblant, the premiere skiing and snowboarding destination on the Eastern coast of Canada opened today to a crowd of elated snow sports enthusiasts. The resort kicked off the season at 8:30am on Thursday with 6 open runs that span from the summit to mid-mountain on both the South and North sides. Tremblant has earned the rating of #1 Resort by SKI Magazine for the 15th year in a row, and with the most powerful snowmaking system on the eastern coast of Canada it is no wonder why!

They’ve undergone $1.5 million in investments to prepare for one of the most memorable seasons to date. The resort is leading the industry with initiatives to optimize their snow conditions and provide the highest level of service for their visitors. There’s a number of options to ensure your experience is as care free as possible, including on site high-performance ski rentals and Snow School services to provide a quick and painless learning experience.

There is a lot more in store for this rocking European-esque mountain community that you’ve just got to experience for yourself! With 1900 accommodation units spread over 13 hotels and over 75 restaurants and shops you can trust that there will be plenty of room for you and tons of fun things to do. There’s lots to look forward to this season, such as the International Blues Festival, as well as the most ideal holiday accommodations for celebrating Christmas and the New Year in true skier style. And of course no season at Tremblant would feel the same without the annual Tremblant 24h of Skiing, which brings skiers, artists, athletes, partners and celebrities together for a weekend (from Dec 9 – 11) to support sick and underprivileged children. Stay tuned for more coverage of the event from The Ski Channel, and find out more by visiting, tremblant.ca/24h. It’s not just a great cause, but it’s a huge party and one of the largest fundraising events in the ski industry.
