Blackcomb Mountain’s opening on November 24th brings the Whistler Blackcomb mountain resort up to 4,300 acres and over 4,085 vertical feet of available terrain. To sum it up Whistler Blackcomb currently has the most available skiing and riding terrain in the world with 13 operating lifts, 1 full terrain park line, and a 15-foot half pipe. The month of November has seen almost 7.7 feet of snow (totally destroying the average November snowfall of 5.4 feet).

“We are very excited to open Blackcomb Mountain with such incredible snow conditions and coverage,” said Doug Macfarlane, Mountain Manager of Whistler Blackcomb. “To be able to offer 4,300 acres in November is really exciting, and offers our guests an amazing experience on both mountains.”

Seven lifts are operating right now on Blackcomb including: Excalibur Gondola, Wizard Chair, Solar Coaster Chair, Excelerator Chair, Catskinner Chair, Crystal Chair and Jersey Cream Chair. Whistler Mountain has the Whistler Village Gondola, Creekside Gondola, Emerald Express, Garbanzo Express, Big Red Express, and the Peak 2 Peak Gondola making a grand total of 13 operational lifts.
