Today, Snowboarding is all the rage amongst winter enthusiasts. But that wasn’t always the case. Over the past few decades, Snowboarding has grown from an upstart rebellion against skiing to a mainstream winter sport enjoyed by all ages — and Stratton Mountain Resort wants to celebrate!

The Vermont mountain, which has close ties to the sport and is hailed by many as the birthplace of snowboarding, is hosting its first Snowboard Celebration Week from December 10 to December 18. The celebration will pay homage to the sport, the riders and the lifestyle, culminating in World Snowboarding Day — a global day of riding. Free clinics, on-snow demos, competitions, and more will take place all week long!
