Transworld and SIA Publish The Guide In Anticipation of 2012 Snow Show

Every January, winter sports enthusiasts gather for the SIA Snow Show, in Denver Colorado, in search of the latest and greatest in tech and trends in skiing and snowboarding. As the largest most concentrated trade event in the snow sports industry – with an average of 80% of the retail buying power and nearly 20,000 attendees – it is the undoubtedly one of the best opportunities to see and feel the season’s newest gear….and, for snowboarders, it just got even better!

SnowSports Industries America (SIA) and TransWorld Business have partnered to create a custom pre-Show publication, built specifically for the snowboarding community. Titled, The Guide, this newly collaborated publication will help to better engage the snowboard industry, and more specifically, core snowboard retailers, with pertinent Show information, new trends, up-to-date research, feature articles, and more. The best part? Attendees will now be able to pinpoint the retailers they want to visit and gear they want to check out prior to the show, ensuring that nothing is missed!

“We’re excited about this new partnership venture with TransWorld Business – producing a pre-Show publication with TransWorld will offer a unique perspective specific to the snowboard segment,” said SIA President David Ingemie. “TransWorld’s staff will be tapping into the latest trends and our data, giving retailers, reps and suppliers a head start on the SIA Snow Show.

SIA board member and 686 President Michael Akira West also commented about The Guide. “This is a resource that the snowboard side of the business has needed for years. Retailers and manufacturers alike will utilize this tool to plan how to best maximize their time at the Show and to explore some of the events happening in Denver. It’s been a long time coming and we’re excited to participate.”

The custom publication will be distributed both in print and digitally to over 30,000 snowboard shops, manufacturers, executives and SIA members in early January, prior to the Show, which runs January 26 through 29 in Denver, Colorado, and continues with the On-Snow Demo in Winter Park and Devil’s Thumb Ranch January 30-31. The digital edition will be available online at siasnowshow.com via a browser based reader, and additionally, on its own application for the iPad, through TransWorld’s proprietary iPad magazine platform, and downloadable at no cost to the consumer. Hard copies will be available on-site at the show as well. The Guide will feature 20-pages of highly informative snowboard industry content.
