Big Savings for Families at Sunday River

Getting a big family out of the house and onto the slopes is never easy, not to mention the cost of getting everyone gear and lift tickets. Sunday River is well aware of this, and in celebration of Children’s Festival Week taking place next week, January 8–13, 2012, families will be able to save up to 40% on their next ski and snowboard trip.

Anyone that attends the week-long event and books two or more nights of lodging will earn free lift tickets, lodging and ski lessons for their children ages 4 – 12 — and if you stay at the Grand Resort Hotel you’ll even get a complimentary breakfast

They crank it up another notch with melty, delicious s’mores provided to you and the kids the second you walk through the doors to check-in!

During the day, Perfect Turn Ski and Snowboard School offers classes from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. that focus on fun in the snow and perfecting turns. To keep classes interesting lessons revolve around themes like a Mexican Fiesta Day, Super Hero Day, and Western Round Up Day.

The activities continue after class and well into the evening, options that include fireworks, a snow tubing and ice skating extravaganza, pizza and movie nights, as well as several Black Diamond Entertainment Shows featuring Strolling Magic by Marcus Almodarr Steelgrave, the Davey the Clown Show, and Fire Dancer Diane Kibbin.

There are a ton of additional activities to participate in for both parents and kids, including skiing and snowboarding; winter zipline tours, twin zips, spa specials, and family entertainment at either Grand Resort Hotel.

Families can book Children Festival Week packages online at or by calling 800-543-2754.
