Powder Days at Aspen/Snowmass: 14 Inches

As you may have already heard, there’s been a huge storm cruising through the Colorado Rockies throughout the past 48 hours, and it has brought forth a flurry of fresh powder to the slopes of Aspen/Snowmass. The tally is just over 14 inches of fresh, and more has been forecasted over the next 24 hours. Aspen/Snowmass has been blessed with very respectable snowfall this season, so this new dump is just icing on the cake! Highland Bowl was reportedly opened for a brief period today — only for control work — but it can definitely be regarded as what will soon be in store for the mountain if this precipitation keeps up!

If fresh powder isn’t enough motivation to get you out to the slopes, then perhaps Aspen/Snowmass can sweeten the deal further. If you are 24 years of age or younger with a valid ID from an accredited 4-year college you can snag a College X Pass which will get you a day of skiing and/or riding for under $40 during X Games. This product is a picture pass valid for two days of skiing or riding during Winter X Games Aspen 2012 for only $79 and is good on all four mountains. Visit www.aspensnowmass.com/xpass to book or for more info.

If the new powder finally convinced you to stop putting off planning your family vacation, your wallet will appreciate the fact that kids fly free to Aspen/Snowmass if you book your itinerary by February 17th. Ski.com, North America’s largest provider of mountain vacations, is offering free flights for children to Snowmass Village, Colo. Families who purchase the package which includes at least five nights of lodging in March at any Snowmass property and four days of lift tickets valid at Aspen/Snowmass receive one free airline ticket for a child ages seven to 12.

In addition to these offers the Kids Ski & Stay FREE package for both March and April is back as well as the Perfect Storm and Spring Escape MVP.  New this year is the Spring Jam package and a late-spring package: Highlands Last Call.  For more information or to book any of these packages, please visit www.aspensnowmass.com.deals or call 1-800-525-6200.
