Pendleton and Bonfire Collaborate to Keep You Warm

Bonfire is hooking up with Pendleton to come out with a limited collection of wool based snowboard gear. Pendleton has been going strong since 1863 due to their natural fiber craftsmanship, having moved from making beautifully patterned blankets and clothes to now mixing it up in the common era with some hybrid winter-wool gear. The collection will combine Bonfire’s knowledge of the needs of winter gear that will do it’s job on the mountain with Pendleton’s time tested standard.

“It makes good sense for two Northwest firms to partner in a truly unique blending of technical outerwear and natural fiber craftsmanship. Bonfire and Pendleton combine to establish an entirely new order of functional, timeless apparel for the slopes and the lodge”, said Pendleton Menswear Division Manager Jim Buckner.

With both company’s based near Portland, is makes sense to stick together in these economic times, and the proximity makes it easier to collaborate on the project. But more importantly, according to Bonfire Design Director Shawn Steward the collection is about creating great products.

“Combining Bonfire and Pendleton has been one of the most interesting projects I have worked on. We are bringing an exciting product to the snowboarding market and beyond – each piece is timeless, unique and has lasting quality – for both on and off the mtn.”

Wool keeps you warm even if it’s soaked, but Bonfire makes gear that doesn’t let you get wet in the first place, so either way, you’ll be covered from all angles.
