Reports coming out of the Sundance Film Festival, currently taking place in the ski town of Park City, Utah detail that Tracy Morgan, the popular actor and comedian collapsed at an event on Sunday evening not long after accepting his award.
According to Morgan’s publicist Lewis Kay, the actor felt ill “from a combination of exhaustion and altitude” while being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards.
Kay was very adamant in debunking rumors that any type of alcohol or drug consumption characterized the incident. “Tracy is seeking medical attention. He is with his fiancé and is grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100% false.”
A short while ago this afternoon (Monday) Tracy took to his Twitter feed to explain his collapse to his followers. “The high altitude in Utah shook up this kid from Brooklyn,” he wrote. Shortly thereafter he followed up his explanation with additional tweets that offered his thanks and appreciation to the Park City Medical Center staff and assured the public that he was returning to production on 30 Rock tomorrow.
“Back at work tomorrow shooting 30 Rock,” Jordan tweeted. “Holla at me!”
