Olympic gold medalist Hannah Kearney (Norwich, VT), who recently notched a record 11th straight FIS Freestyle World Cup victory, will headline the February 2-4, 2012 VISA Freestyle International. The three-day event will showcase aerials, individual moguls and the crowd favorite dual moguls at Deer Valley Resort, nearly 10 years to the day after the site hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

The competition marks the 10th anniversary of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.

Kearney (above) keeps finding herself in the middle of success, the most distinguished of which was her nailing the coveted gold at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and last season she took the overall title. She has won gold, silver, and bronze at World Championsips in Mogul Skiing and Dual Moguls. She was the 2011 and 2009 World Cup Moguls Champion and 2011 Overall World Cup Freestyle Champion — an incredible 36  career World Cup podiums totally 19 victories.

“The highlight of my season was winning the overall freestyle globe,” Kearney shared. “Consistency was my goal for the year, and the globe was a reflection of my execution of that goal. Next year I would like to successfully compete a new trick. I would also like to ski better than I did last year.”

The dedication to her career as both a skier and a student have defined her as an overall champion. The Dartmouth College student will be attending school again in the fall to balance the athletic and academic parts of her life. “College is part of my plan to become a better competitor,” Kearney explained.
