SheJumps.org: Girls on the Mountain? Sounds Crazy!

Posted By: The Ski Channel on February 1, 2012 10:16 am

SheJumps is an organization founded by professional skier Linsey Dyer with the goal of bringing together a community of females who share a passion for outdoor snow sports.

Linsey and the SheJumps.org team have recently announced the GET THE GIRLS OUT Campaign to encourage female skiers and snowboarders to get out to their mountain for the day and aim to propel this movement around the country and even the world. On February 11, 2012 women from across the nation will be encouraged to utilize the SheJumps community to get together and get out to the mountains for a day of fun on the slopes with both new and old friends.

SheJumps strives to increase female participation in the outdoors by creating community, opportunity, and FUN! For the rest of the winter season, SheJumps Chapters across the United States will be hosting informal gatherings on the slopes — costumes are optional, but strongly encouraged.

There are already a bunch of planned locations set to be hit by SheJumps skiers and snowboarders. Click HERE to look for a location near you and feel free to keep checking back for updates. If your mountain is not yet listed and you would like to plan an event, email jenna@shejumps.org or claire@shejumps.org and they can add you to the list to get the ball rolling!
