Killington Mountain School: 28th Annual Auction and Dinner to be held on February 25th

Peace, love and daffies all will be a part of Killington Mountain School’s (KMS) 28th Annual Auction and Dinner to support the Killington Mountain School Scholarship Fund, which helps to provide financial assistance to student-athletes who dream of the opportunity to attend the ski academy but wouldn’t be able to without the money raised from the auction and the Scholarship Fund.

This year’s theme will take guests back to the ‘70s and groovy evening attire is encouraged. Killington’s own D.J. Dave will be spinning the tunes for dancing to the sounds of bands like KC and the Sunshine Band and Barry White. The evening promises to be one of fun and good laughs. As the school’s largest fundraising event of the year, monies raised from this annual event support the school’s Scholarship Fund that provides critical support for athletic and academic programming at KMS.

Also this year, KMS will honor two people—Craig Mosher and Doug Casella—who came forward after Tropical Storm Irene and immediately helped the Killington community bounce back from disaster.

Parents, alumni, local businesses, partners, and other friends of KMS are extremely generous each year in providing exciting items for the auction. This year’s items include: an original Killington South Ridge Chair (from the recently decommissioned chairlift); a snow cat ride up to the new Motor Room Bar for cocktails and light fare for a party of 10; a glider ride around Sugarbush; a one-week vacation in a home on Cape Cod; a week at the world famous Reunion Resort in Florida; a Specialized Rockhopper 29 mountain bike; an Official U.S. Ski Team jacket; and much more.

The event begins at the Killington Grand Resort and Hotel at 6 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction on Saturday, Feb. 25. Dinner and a live auction begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for dinner reservations can be purchased online at
