Bolton Valley, Vermont’s big mountain skiing and riding just 30 minutes from Burlington, will partner with the Richmond Food Shelf in order to collect food for those in need this winter.
Through Feb. 17, skiers and riders who bring a non-perishable food item to the Bolton Valley Sports Shop will receive a special Wax and Tune—a $5 wax (retail: $10) and $10 tune including edge sharpen and wax (retail: $20).
On Feb. 15, those who donate two non-perishable food items will receive $10 off their lift ticket for that day. Guests should bring their food items to the Bolton Guest Service desk to receive the special discounted lift ticket.
Anyone who donates through Feb. 17 also will be entered into a raffle to win one of two Bolton Valley hoodies. Guests will receive one raffle ticket per food item donated.
“People were affected by Irene and are still trying to get back on their feet and grants and funding have been cut for various programs,” said Josh Arneson, director of sales and marketing at Bolton. “We hope the food we collect in the next two weeks will help stock the shelves for the winter and spring.
