Nearly Half a Foot of Fresh at Stratton

Despite forecasts calling for heavy rain, the weather decided to cooperate for once this season and bestowed nearly half a foot of fresh snow across the slopes of Stratton today! While it doesn’t seem like a ton, skiers and snowboarders enduring the Great Snow Recession of 2011/2012 welcome any and all snowfall! Vermont is starting to look nice and white!

Stratton already had great conditions thanks to their elite snowmaking team, but after all this fresh natural powder settled the terrain became even better!

Weather forecasts are calling for continued snowfall into the night — but we’ll have to see how accurate their reports are. Here’s hoping they are spot on this time!
