Set against the picturesque backdrop of Mount Hood, and located a mere 45 minutes east of Portland, Oregon, Windells is the premiere training camp for action sports lovers of all ages and skill levels. This year, Windells will host three one week Spring Break camps beginning March 19th and ending April 22nd. Campers have the option to ride park, powder and back country and to either stay overnight or just attend daily. Prices are $899 for the week for day camp and $1399 for overnight and include; lift tickets, instruction, food, prizes, transportation, supervision, video review, camp activities and more. Campers who already have a pass to either Timberline or Mt. Hood Meadows are invited to take advantage of a special $100-$200 discount on Spring Break registration.
Windells’ 53-acre campus is an all-inclusive training center which includes, an 80,000 ft of innovative skate terrain, a two lane dry slope with fun jib features, and the Northwest’s largest indoor skate park with two Olympic style trampolines and a giant foam pit for never ending fun. After a day of riding great snow, campers head back to campus to enjoy the campus amenities and participate in off-mountain activities. The indoor park, better known as B.O.B., is open every evening for campers to skate, bike, jump on trampolines, and launch into the foam pit from the trampolines or drop-ins.
This season Mt. Hood has seen more snow than the majority of the country. Timberline accumulated over 15” of new snow just last weekend and more snow is in the forecast. Historically, Mt. Hood’s snowiest months are April, May and June.
Founded in 1988 by nine time National Champion and 2-time Vice World Champion snowboarder Tim Windell, Windells has been a world leader in action sports for the past two decades. During that time, many of the world’s top action sports athletes including, Shaun White, Hannah Teter, Gretchen Bleiler, Kelly Clark, and Danny Kass have trained at the camp.
Windells’ goal is to not only improve kids’ skills on the slopes and on the street, but also create a fun and safe place for kids to creatively express themselves through sports. As the world’s only privately owned campus, Windells provides campers with a unique opportunity to enjoy winter sports with natural snow all year long. From a permanent, year round half-pipe and ski runs to BMX dirt bike paths, an indoor skate park with foam pit and some of the industry’s best coaches, Windells has everything needed to raise your game!
