Slopestyle Semi-Final Results from Burton US Open

Slopestyle athletes hit the slopes on Wednesday in the 30th anniversary of the Burton US Open.  The results are in, and 16 men and six women will make it through to the finals this Friday, March 9th at Stratton Mountain, Vermont.

The U.S. team dominated the women’s competition with Jamie Anderson at the top.  She had a phenomenal second run with a boardslide 270 out, backside 540 mute grab, switch backside 540 mute grab, backside tailslide and 50-50 to tail grab.  Joanna Dzierzawski and Jordie Karlinski took two of the other top six spots heading into the finals.  Other finalists include Kjersti Ostgaard Buaas (NOR), Spencer O’Brien (CAN), and Shelly Gotlieb (NZL). Sebastian Toutant USO

Canadians took the top two spots in the men’s competition with Sebastien Toutant at number one.  His first run put him in first immediately.  He showed off his skills with a Cab hardway 270, Cab double underflip mute grab, backside double cork 1080 mute grab, frontside on to wallride 360 out, 50-50 to backside rodeo melon grab out.  Sage Kostenberg took fourth, the only American in the top six.  Here are the standings at the end of the today:
