While some of the best months of the 2011-2012 ski season are yet to come, it is never too early to start planning for next year. Beginning Monday, March 12th, die hard winter enthusiasts can purchase 2012-2013 season passes for Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y. Early specials include the popular Whiteface Only Non-Holiday pass for only $439 (ages 23-64), $299 for juniors (7-12) and just $30 for skiers or riders six and under. Best of all, when you purchase your 2012-2013 season pass, you can ski or ride the rest of this season for free!

With a jam-packed Spring schedule ahead, visitors to the Olympic mountain have a lot to look forward to and celebrate. Last
weekend, Whiteface kicked-off Springfest — a month long celebration of spring skiing and the warm weather and favorable conditions that come along with it. From entertainment, to live music and more, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy.

Highlights for this weekend include, a hands on cooking demonstration and wine pairing with Centerplate executive chef Jen Moody on Friday, March 9th and first tracks and mountain tours lead by Whiteface staff on Saturday, March 10th. Space for the first tracks tour is limited to the first 14 guests, so sign up early!

Saturday’s lineup also features a park session, for all levels of skiers and riders; activities for kids in the kids zone; and a costume parade.  Stone Ground Express will play live music in the afternoon at the Cloudspin Lounge.
