The slopes of Vail Mountain were flooded by pink skiers and snowboarders last weekend during the Pink Vail Day. This is the debut year for Pink Vail and is already considered the world’s biggest ski/snowboard fundraising event for breast cancer. All proceeds are in benefit of the Shaw Regional Cancer Center, a local facility that is dedicated to serving the needs of Rocky Mountain community.
Everyone was in true Pink spirit, from Vail Mountain Staffers to even its littlest shredders.
The event reached its pinnacle with the Celebration Ski Down where everyone participating in the event across the mountain united for inspirational speeches and a massive group run that literally turned the white slopes of Vail completely PINK!
By the end of the event, the donations far-surpassed the event organizers’ $125,000 goal. The day wrapped with a rocking concert with music and dancing well into the evening.
