Disabled Sports Far West Premieres Winter March 30th

The far west chapter of Disabled Sports USA is hosting its Wounded Warrior Ability Camp March 27th to April 1st. The camp hosts 25 soldiers and marines wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are provided specialized instruction in adaptive alpine skiing and snowboarding.  The camp serves as part of a greater rehabilitation program to reintegrate these wounded warriors back to the civilian populat

The weekend kicks off Friday evening with the Lake Tahoe premiere of “Winter” along with performance by Black Sunshine’s Matt Reardon. Reardon, a professional skier turned rockstar is one of the stars of Winter. Kirk Bauer, president of DSUSA will also be attending the event. Kirk is featured in the film along with a group of disabled veterans hiking up mount Kilimanjaro.
