Mammoth Mountain – Great Conditions for Oakley Week

Mammoth Mountain Resort has been fun and rideable for most of the season, but this last storm that passed over much of California put them back in a position to claim the best skiing and riding in the state. With over 150 trails open, the 4-5 feet of fresh snow they got this last weekend will put a few more cars on the 395 this week. With Gas prices so high, flying into the local airport is becoming much more attractive considering the great deals they already offer for flights from LA and San Francisco.

The base depth at Mammoth is the deepest it’s been all year at 76 inches, and the view from the top is magnificent. The Cornice is now well covered which allows those that dare to drop off the top with no fear of busting knees, or sliding the 1,000 feet from bottom to top due to lack of coverage.

With the best snow of the season, starting April 2, Mammoth will be offering membership to their VIP Club with lift passes for next season for only $659. The passes will be good from this April 15th throughout the entire 2012/2013 season. This is a great deal with limited VIP passes, so get on it and use that extra money on gas or a flight up to this epic resort this weekend.

Oakley Week is happening right now, as it started on the 17th and will continure through this Sunday the 25th. You can register for the Am Jam half-pipe or slope-style comps to compete for huge cash prizes. Tons of Oakley gear will be given out and don’t miss out on the opportunity to have a pair of customized goggles from Oakley made just for you. They will be using their new HDO technology, and will be teaching skiers and riders all about it at their Rolling O Lab which will be held mountainside. Get in on the fun and get out there to enjoy the great weather and awesome conditions!
