Sprint U.S. Freestyle Championships Begin

Tomorrow the U.S. Freestyle Championships will kick off at Stratton Mountain in Vermont.  The best of the best will be out to compete for the national title in moguls, dual moguls, and aerials as 2011 Champion Hanna Kearney will be out for a repeat win.  And amateurs are in it to make their mark as future professional competitors.  It will be an action-packed fight to the finish as participants keep their eye on the prize, being named the best in the States.

Spectators are in luck, because this year, the aerials will be moving to Lower Standard and will be visible from Grizzly’s deck and main base area.  Grizzly’s is a bar and restaurant with the feel of a lodge, and there’s a perfect view of the slopes.  It was named one of the Top 5 Apres Ski Bars by Outside Magazine.  Relax, grab some grub, sit in the sun, and watch as the country’s greatest freestyle skiers, both amateurs and professionals keep you entertained.  The crowd can also enjoy live music, opportunities to get some swag, and other events set up for the occasion.  For those who can’t make it to the mountain, catch it all on NBC Sports on March 31 at 2pm and 3pm.

Lodging is offered at several places onsite including the Inn at Stratton Mountain, the Long Trail House, and the Obertal condos.
