Bear Mountain is CLOSED – Neff Beach Bash was Full-On

We all knew this day would come — Bear Mountain has closed for the 2011/2012 season. We’ve had a ton of fun this season, but due to warm temperatures the decision was made to cease operations a little less than a week prior to the April 15th close date.

Bear announced the decision via their website detailing that all Bear Mountain Only season passes will be honored at Snow Summit for the remainder of the season. They also alluded to a number of new additions and surprises to look forward to as we gear up for next season!

The mountain closed out the ski and snowboard in spectacular fashion with this past weekend’s Neff Beach Bash. The event went off without a hitch, and featured $2,500 in cash prizes and a live performance by Hyper Crush.  Neff Headwear did a fantastic job at combining the atmosphere of the beach with the slopeside sickness Bear is known for.

Possible causes of warm weather…

There’s still plenty of fun to be had over the next few days at Snow Summit! Now its time to mark those calendars and begin the countdown to September 22nd for the 2012 Hot Dawgs and Hand Rails!

Check out all the action from this weekend to tide you over:
