Rain in Coachella? I’m going to Mammoth!

While most of the west coast is making its annual pilgrimage to Coachella, others with a nose for the weather are embarking on a journey to much more sacred grounds. When we got word that big storms were on the horizon it meant the festival was going to start out muddy and the mountains were going to get slammed! When faced with such a dilemma, it’s a no brainer which ticket to choose –I’m going to Mammoth!

The mountain has accumulated over 30 inches of fresh snow, with even more on the way as the weekend continues.

Not only that, but the Mammoth Invitational is going on in full force! The annual event has grown leaps and bounds to become a truly international event attracting athletes from the U.S., Canada, France and Italy. Olympian Stacey Cook is in the house, the unstoppable Kelly Clark and even the legendary Glen Plake!

There’s no doubt the attendees of Coachella are having a great time, but these are some of best days on the snow all winter! Besides, there’s always Coachella: Weekend 2….
