Wolf Creek Ski Area Closes Season on Powdery High Note

Colorado’s Wolf Creek Ski Area has had great conditions all season long. Starting with an early October storm that allowed them to be one of the first resorts in the nation to open, and continuing well-into the spring season. That’s why it was all too appropriate for the mountain to finish the 2012/2013 season up with a bang! After receiving over 16 inches from recent storms, Wolf Creek has decided to end operations on a powdery high note.

The resort has smashed previous attendance records this season with 227,306 skiers and snowboarders visiting the mountain. The previous record was 222, 979.

While its always a bummer to see the lifts stop spinning, there’s a lot of comfort in the knowledge that snowboarders and skiers will most likely be shredding the slopes of Wolf Creek in less than six months!
