Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania announced that they will reopen their resort at 10am Tuesday, April 24th after some last minute snowfall. Skiers and snowboarders can expect solid conditions. The latest snowstorm dumped over 12-inches on the east coast ski area!
Tomorrow will mark the latest the resort has ever been open, beating the 1996 record of April 14th.
“We are pleased to offer this opportunity for our guests to experience skiing and snowboarding this late in April,” said Eric Mauck, Chief Executive Officer. “While we were not expecting the amount of snowfall that we received, our team did an outstanding job to allow us to be the only resort to re-open on the East Coast. Hopefully, this is glimpse of what is to come next season.”
Cortina chairlift will start up at 10am and will continue until 4pm. Both 2011-2012 and 2012-2-13 passes will be accepted, but $24 ski and board tickets will be offered. The early purchase price of $429 for next season’s passes will be available on Tuesday, April 24th only.
Enjoy the weather, East Coasters!
