Everyone knows the legend of Cthulhu. No? Well, Cthulhu is all-powerful cosmic entity that resides in the South Pacific. He was created by writer H. P. Lovecraft in the early 1900s. Thankfully, the creature is safely imprisoned preventing him from arising to enslave the human race. Phew!
Now that’s out of the way, we can talk about the latest project on social fundraising powerhouse Kickstarter. The Marsh Sewing Co. and ToyVault have teamed up to produce a prototype Cthulhu knitted ski mask. You’ll be able to command your terrified subjects with the wrath of an ancient star monster with your new headwear for less than $25.00!
The project is already well underway, and has nearly half of its $1,100 pledge goal. As with any Kickstarter project, they have until the specified funding date to meet or exceed their goal in order to make the project a reality. There are a number of pledge levels the choose from, and if successfully funded, donors are promised a special gift that increases in value as their donation increases.
Your funding will support production of the masks since all the design work is already done. This one looks like its pretty much in the bag, so look for these to start hitting the shelves in late July or August.
If you’re as stoked as we are on these bad boys, head over to their Kickstarter Project Page and make a donation. A $20 donation will guarantee you get one of the first masks produced!
