Professional Big Mountain skier Seth Morrison has left the industry in awe of his nerve and abilities for over a decade with his ability to push the boundaries of the sport. He has conquered Alaska’s backcountry and shredded some of the world’s most remote summits. Now, he’s shaking things up and touring and skiing the tightest, most technical terrain in the French Alps.
His pro model designs have gone in a new direction as well. In honor of K2’s 50th Anniversary, Morrison has been working hard to create something for the most intense terrain out there. And the result is very promising. Whether you’re attacking steep open faces or tight couloirs, the SideSeth model, part of K2’s BackSide Adventure Series, is ready for anything. This model combines Big Mountain riding with technical agility for backcountry terrain and is fit for Seth’s hard charging skiing style.
The SideSeths are made for soft snow, but a more rigid tail with a bit less rocker aids with hard snow performance and adds to the versatility of the model. The kick tail is slightly raised to retain versatility and forgiveness in narrow conclave couloirs while simultaneously increasing the ski’s utility as a tool.
