Canada’s Banff-Lake Louise has had record-breaking snow this season, and while they are officially closed, will be reopening for a Spring Splash bonus weekend May 11-13.

“We are always looking for ways to let our valued seasons pass and Louise Plus Card holders know we appreciate their loyalty, so this is what the bonus weekend is all about,” explains Proprietor Charlie Locke.

Some of the best snow in Western North America landed on Sunshine Village and The Lake Louis Ski Area.  Boasting 1035cm in total for the former and 873cm for the latter, it was a beautiful time to be on the mountain in the famous dry, light Canadian Rockies powder fall.

Sunshine Village will remain open until May 21, one of the longest seasons in North America.  And Lake Louise will be shut down for the season after this coming weekend.  So if you’re looking to squeeze in some last minute skiing or riding, try heading north!  The party isn’t over yet, and there will be live music and several other activities planned for the occasion.

And don’t forget to prepare for next year and purchase your season pass.  The Early Bird sale saves you over 25 percent with and will pay for itself in just seven days on the slopes.  After May 31, prices will increase.
