Red Bull Media House and Alli Sports, a division of the NBC Sport Group, announced a new partnership with Casio G’zOne today. Casio G’zOne was the first sponsors to jump on the Red Bull Signature Series bandwagon, a decision they won’t soon regret.
If you’ve been under a rock for the past few months, here’s the skinny: The Red Bull Signature Series is a thrilling year-long ride with 35 hours of original programming aired on NBC and NBC Sports. Red Bull and Alli Sports are building the most progressive and innovative snowboarding, mountain biking, freestyle motocross, ice cross downhill, skiing and BMX events, showcased on custom courses from the inspiration of the athletes themselves.
And now Casio G’zOne is taking their involvement to the next level. Not only will they act as presenting sponsor for five Red Bull Signature Series broadcast, but they will also receive commercial units in show branding within all 35 hours of programming, activation opportunities at multiple events, marketing and digital benefits and exclusive content features in all shows. Adding to the action, Casio G’zOne has amped up the stakes by offering to feature an athlete that solidly lands a seemingly impossible trick in G’zOne “Stomped Moment of the Day”. Recent winners include Gigi Ruf at Supernatural and Sean Pettit at Cold Rush.
”We’re thrilled to have Casio G’zOne on-board as a founding partner of the Red Bull Signature Series,” said BJ Carretta, VP Marketing & Communications, Alli Sports. “A leader in design and durability, Casio G’zOne embodies the characteristics of the Signature Series, aligning with our vision for this inaugural season with the opportunity for further integration in the future.”
Casio G’zOne has created a mobile device called the Commando for those with active, outdoor lifestyles epitomized by the athletes in the Red Bull Signature Series. The device, a Verizon Wireless exclusive, will serve as the official handset of the Series and will create an opportunity to promote Verizon-sponsored athletes during the Series.
“The relevance of the Red Bull Signature Series is a perfect fit for the Casio G’zOne brand,” said Sean Eggert, Director of Event Marketing, Red Bull North America. “Our goal is to integrate like-minded brands into the series and connect them to a coveted audience.”
The Red Bull X-Fighters series, stopping in Texas on May 12, will feature Verizon athletes Todd Potter and Kyle Loza. The event will air on NBC Sports Network on Saturday, May 12 at 9pm PT and will re-air on Saturday, May 26 on NBC at 11am PT.
