The 2nd Annual High Fives Charity Golf Tournament, presented by Spine Nevada, is back and better than ever! May 17th at 1pm is tee time at the beautiful Gray’s Crossing Golf Club in Truckee, CA. It will be a four man scramble format.
Registration starts at 10am and costs $100 for a single golfer and $400 for a team. Teams can also be registered online. With the entry fee, participants can enjoy 18 holes of golf with a cart—walking is overrated—sweet door prizes from the wonderful sponsors, a highly attractive High Fives shirt, and a mouth-watering dinner catered by Full Belly Deli.
“The High Fives Foundation is fortunate to have solidified partnerships with outstanding companies such as SpineNevada, Start Haus, Squaw Valley and our newest partner, Northwestern Mutual / Ryan Williams to back the events of the golf tournament,” said Roy Tuscany, High Fives Foundation President and Co-Founder. “To have the support of so many other companies as well, allows for the foundation’s program services to continue to grow and better serve athletes in the winter sports community.”
Some excellent prizes from sponsors like GoPro, Fiftly Fifty Brewing Co., Smith Optics, and 4FRNT Skis will be awarded to the winners of various contests throughout the tournament including longest drive/closest to the pin holes, break the glass—exactly what it sounds like–and putting contests. And after a relaxing afternoon on the green, golfers are invited to finish out the tournament with an entertaining awards ceremony, cold drinks, and sick beats from DJ One Truest.
From beginners to old pros, every player is welcomed to play. Skill is irrelevant. Do it for the love of the game. And in support of High Fives, an excellent charity dedicated to raising money and awareness for athletes who have suffered a life-altering injury in pursuit of their dream in the winter action sports community.
Uncorked Truckee is also a good place to be this month. From 5-5:55pm each night in May, this cozy local bar will sell $5 glasses of wine and donate half the proceeds to this noble non-profit.
Help out High Fives, and hit the green…or the bar. Everyone wins when there’s fun to be had!
