Snowbird LogoAfter a great season, Snowbird has finally called it quits for the season.  Sunday, May 13th marked the end, boasting almost 32 feet of snowfall this season!

Skiers and snowboarders celebrated by donning T-shirts, bikinis and costumes as they flocked to the resort for a last day on the slopes.  It was also guests’ final chance to ride the Little Cloud chairlift before it is torn down.  A detachable high-speed quad is set to take its place this summer.

This summer is bringing more than just sunshine and flowers to the winter paradise.  There are many events to look forward to including the 4th Annual Brewfest on June 16-17 with a Father’s Day barbeque that Sunday.  And you know what 4th of July means…Pancakes!  A tradition anticipated every year, the pancake breakfast is fun for the whole family.   Free outdoor showings of some of Snowbird’s favorite Family Flicks will be offered every Friday this summer as well.  If you’re a fan of 80’s and 90’s films—think Back to the Future and The Sandlot—this is for you.  One of the biggest events this summer will be the 40th Annual Oktoberfest celebration.  Starting August 18, there will be eight weeks of Bavarian food, music, and entertainment to enjoy.

Winter may be over, but summer is just beginning.  Enjoy the weather!
