Now is a better time than ever to head south for a second winter. Valle Nevado and Mammoth Mountain announced an exciting new sister resort partnership today that will give skiers and snowboarders a multitude of cross-promotional benefits.
Valle Nevado, South America’s’ premier ski resort, located just 90 minutes outside of Santiago, offers access to the most terrain in on the continent. Mammoth is the third most frequented resort in the United States and sits in California. Together, they offer some of the best skiing and snowboarding in their respective countries.
“Valle Nevado sees the partnership with Mammoth Mountain as a perfect fit,” says Valle Nevado Sales & Marketing Director Ricardo Almeida. “Both resorts adhere to a visionary philosophy that seizes opportunities to modernize on-mountain and base facilities, provide outstanding customer service, and offer a tremendous amount of world-class terrain. But most importantly, it gives skiers on both hemispheres a chance to enjoy the unparallel experience of summer skiing.”
The partnership is effective May 2012 and is starting off with a deal that allows season pass holders at either resort to receive seven free lift tickets at the sister resort. In other words, Mammoth season pass holders have a week of free skiing and a second winter waiting for them in the Andes. Resort officials look forward to offering more benefits in the future like lodging discounts and other added-value services.
The Chilean resort is also collaborating with Mammoth Mountain’s Unbound Terrain Park to create unique cross activities like training camps, team photo shoots, and the Unbound South America Session. The results will be announced soon.
Valle Nevado’s 2012 season is scheduled to run from June 29 to October 2. Don’t miss the chance to explore Chile and the mountains that define it!
