Momentum Ski Camps are dedicated to getting little groms out on the slopes and molding them into the next generation of shredders. They’ve also recognized a certain level of auteur amidst these ranks of young athletes and have in turn created a brand new photo and film camp for the summer. They’ve called it Exposure and it will take place at their Whistler, BC camp from July 6th to the 14th.
This camp session will serve as an unprecedented learning experience for campers that have that photogenic eye and a sincere passion for snow sports. If getting to capture the epic beauty of Whistler during the summer wasn’t cool enough, the camp’s instructional staff could not be any more legit! Action sport photographer Blake Jorgenson, Johnny Decesare of Poor Boyz Production and Voleurz’ Darren Rayner will be on site to drop some knowledge on these young aspiring artists. These masters of action sport photography and film have decades of experience in an industry that they helped pioneer.
All you’ll need is a SLR camera and/or video camera and an eagerness to learn the ins and outs of action sports film and photography. Campers will be exposed to the latest methods of production, digital equipment and post production software. By the end of the camp they’ll have a killer edit or photo gallery to show off to their friends and family. Plus with the backing of Momentum’s audience these kids could gain some significant exposure as up-and-coming creative-types.
Thanks to the Newschoolers, there’s also an opportunity for one lucky participant to earn a free session at Exposure. They’ve put out a call for interested filmmakers to put together a short video edit using last season’s footage to prove they have the chops necessary to excel at Momentum’s Exposure.
