O’Neill Snow has announced the highly anticipated follow up to its popular online series the O’Neill Experience. Back in January, the company gave action sports fans around the world an unprecedented look into the life of professional snowboarder Seb Toots as he embarked upon his journey to the 2012 Winter X Games. Fans were invited to tag along online to share the excitement as Seb traveled to Aspen, Colorado to compete in the event’s big air and slopestyle competitions. Less than six month later, O’Neill is granting us exclusive access once again as we join up with the entire O’Neill Snow team, while they prepare for the upcoming season at the Camp of Champions in Whistler, BC.
The January campaign was a huge success, garnering more than 103,000 page views and more than 90,000 related video views to date.
“There was such an overwhelming response to the first O’Neill Experience during Winter X, and we all agreed that Whistler was a perfect next spot to showcase more of our team riders and continue O’Neill’s yearlong 60th anniversary celebration,” said O’Neill Snow’s Juliet Korver. “It’s always a great time when our team riders come together, so we want to continue sharing those athlete personalities with our fans, and give them an all-access view of what it’s like to be part of the O’Neill Snow team.”
The action kicks off online on July 1st, and the anticipation is already building for an amazing series. The O’Neill Experience once again stars snowboard sensation, Sebastien Toots who is joined by fellow Winter X Games medalist David Wise, snowboarder Celia Miller and Iris Lazz — a newcomer to the O’Neill Snow family. The series will also feature legendary backcountry snowboarder and environmental advocate Jeremy Jones, as well as a number of surprise appearances from action sports’ elite.
The summer O’Neill Experience will center on the athletes as they interact with the young up-and-coming athletes attending the Camp of Champions. The world-class summer snow camp is renowned throughout the industry for its ability to support aspiring athletes as they strive to progress their skills on the slopes. Through an expert team of instructors and professional athletes, the Camp of Champions is shaping the next generation of shredders. The O’Neill Team Members will do their part to drop some serious knowledge on the kids, and as a special treat O’Neill will host a special night for campers, which will include a never-before-seen screening of Jeremy Jones’ upcoming “Further” snowboard adventure film!
“The first O’Neill Experience in Aspen was cool because fans were able to see another side of my life off the mountain, hanging out with family and friends and enjoying the moment,” said Seb Toots. “In Whistler, our whole team will be together, so it will be really fun for our fans to see what we’re all like. I’m excited to hang out with the camp kids, too!”
Throughout the series viewers will catch a glimpse into the wild world of professional athletic sports. We’ll also get a chance to further explore the newest offerings from O’Neill Snow’s upcoming 2012/2013 clothing line. Since it is O’Neill’s 60th Anniversary, the company has gone back to its roots to bring consumers the O’Riginals Collection, which is a limited edition, retro-inspired series that commemorates over half a century of action sports innovation across both surf and snow.
Fans can expect daily footage updates to be posted on www.oneillexperience.com throughout the week, along with photos and video clips promoted across O’Neill Snow’s Facebook and Twitter networks. Views will get to see the pros throw down on the slopes, along with a number of off mountain activities and unexpected adventures throughout the Whistler Village.
