Top 5 Ski Resort Summer Concert Series

While most people think ski resorts go on hiatus during the summer, they are actually in full swing! Every summer, numerous ski resorts host summer-long music concerts where guests can bring along their coolers and picnic baskets and enjoy the music. With the summer solstice occurring yesterday, this list is a perfect opportunity to check out some great summer music events. 

1. Deer Valley Music Festival 

Back for its ninth consecutive year, the Deer Valley Music Festival in Park City, UT holds its month long celebration running from July 7th to August 11th at the resort’s Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, as well as other venues in the area. The festival includes the Utah symphony and opera, Earth Wind and Fire, and more. 

 

 

2.Canyons Resort Summer Concert Series

Beginning July 14th and ending September 1st, Canyons Resort in Park City, UT will host their free Saturday Summer Concert Series. Canyons has a great variety of musicians scheduled, including Willie Nelson’s Son, “Lukas Nelson and Promise of The Real” and an array of Rock, Reggae, Soul, and Country just to name a few. 

 

 

 

3. The Jackson Gore Outdoor Music Series At Okemo Resort 

The Jackson Gore Outdoor Music Series at Okemo Resort in Ludlow, VT features free concerts every Friday evening throughout the summer. The series will start up on June 15th, and run through August 31st. Okemo features a great mix  of blues, rock, funk, folk, and reggae – so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The concert runs rain or shine, with an outdoor and indoor venue.

 

4. Snowbird Cool Air Concert series 

Snowbird Resort, UT continues its Cool Air Concert series, with a live band playing on the Plaza Deck every Saturday night between June 23 and Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. Chicago Afrobeat Project, Cash’d Out, The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and Natural Roots are a few of the bands playing in the series. Admission is free and small coolers are welcome.

 

 

5. Star Session: Northstar’s Summer Concert Series 

This summer, Northstar in Lake Tahoe, CA will host three outdoor concerts. Unlike the series’ above, the concerts aren’t free; tickets run from $22-$40 a piece. However the intimate mountain setting concerts will be well worth the money for some brilliant music under the stars.
