What better way to celebrate the accomplishments of our fore-fathers than coming on down to Big Bear Mountain Resorts to take part in their cornucopia of day and night time events! Guests are invited to to enjoy the unique experience of riding the Scenic Sky Route (great for families or that special romantic date), explore the mountain trails via mountain bike or hiking, and eating lunch atop Snow Summit with a clear view of the tallest peak in Southern California. After this activity filled day in the outdoors, head to one of the ideal viewing spots around the resort to watch the premier fireworks show light up the cool mountain air.

“Our summer activities create the all-around perfect recreational hotspot for Fourth of July,” says Chris Riddle, Vice President of Marketing at Big Bear Mountain Resorts. “Day time activities at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit and nighttime festivities over the lake combined with good food and great people will be powerful enough to begin traditions.”

Fourth of July outdoor activities at Big Bear Mountain include:

Big Bear Mountain Golf Course: schedule your tee time on the challenging, 9-hole golf course, practice your swing at the driving range or get decked out in the latest gear and accessories at the Pro Shop.

Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair: enjoy spectacular views of Big Bear Lake and the surrounding areas on a mile-long ride to the peak of Snow Summit.

Biking: the Scenic Sky Chair makes getting your bike to the top of Snow Summit easy; the fun part is getting back down!

Hiking: take the Scenic Sky Chair up and hike down through the stunning, natural beauty of the San Bernardino National Forest.

Fireworks: what is Fourth of July without explosive pyrotechnics? This year, watch fireworks cast colorful reflections over Big Bear Lake

There is plenty of summer sunshine to fit every activity into a fun day in Big Bear. If you are into the golf scene, grab your clubs and trot on down to Bear Mountain for a round of golf, then head to Snow Summit to ride the Scenic Sky Chair and mountain bike or hike the trails. When you’re wiped out from the sunshine activities, be sure to grab one of many hot spots around the resort to watch the fireworks blast off! Have a fun and safe Fourth of July!
