Neil Diamond’s song America beckons you to fellowship, great food, fun and fireworks. You have the hot dogs and the watermelon. You don your favorite stars and stripes attire. The only thing missing is a location. Where is the best place to celebrate Fourth of July? Naturally, we think ski resorts are the best. We love them in the winter. We love them in the summer. They are nestled in the mountains and nestled in our hearts. The choice is easy- definitely ski resort. The difficult part is deciding which one. We have comprised a list of five top resorts to gather this July Fourth.

Big Bear Mountain Resort- Biking, hiking, and fireworks, as well as the Scenic Sky Chair and a few rounds of golf all contribute to making Big Bear a top pick for celebrating the Fourth. “Our summer activities create the all-around perfect recreational hotspot for Fourth of July,” says Chris Riddle, Vice President of Marketing at Big Bear Mountain Resorts. “Day time activities at Bear Mountain and Snow Summit and nighttime festivities over the lake combined with good food and great people will be powerful enough to begin traditions.”
Okemo Mountain Resort- Okemo is partying it up all week long in anticipation of the fourth- seven full days of celebration which they like to call Red, White and Blues, from a circus, complete with Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster and trapeze artists, to an outdoor music concert series featuring River City Slim and the Zydeco Hogs.
Jackson Hole- Jackson is hosting the third annualRed White and 2- two nights of free live music and fireworks. The Award-Winning Couloir Restaurant will feed your taste buds with fine dining while Mandatory Air (voted best Jackson Hole band in the Best of JH Reader Poll) and Calle Mambo will offer live music. Jackson also has a lot of fireworks in store.
