Summer Skiing at Timberline on Mt. Hood

Nestled in the cliffs of Mt. Hood is Palmer Snowfield, a cold mecca of summer skiing and snowboarding.  Timberline at Mt. Hood keeps lifts running at Palmer Snowfield through September third, claiming the longest running lifts in the United States.  At an impressive altitude of 8,540 feet, you can get your carving, jumping and grinding in all year. Meet the upcoming winter season more improved than you left the last one.

Mt. Hood is open to the public, however, the majority of publicly accessible terrain on the Palmer Snowfield is somewhat limited due to many race camps that reserve private ‘lane’ space throughout the summer. The upside to this is Timberline summer camps are sick! You’re never too old, or too pro to benefit from lessons. Timberline offers camps for all skiers: Family Freestyle Camp, Family Race Camp, Performance Camp, and Masters Camp for adult riders.  It is an awesome opportunity to improve your skills and enjoy your favorite sport during an otherwise snowless season.
