Iris “Lazz” Lazzareschi has officially joined O’Neill’s athlete team. The lineup is full of accomplished and award-winning athletes including fellow female snowboarder Cella Miller, Winter X star Seb Toots, and super-star Jeremy Jones. “It has always been a dream to join an established team like O’Neill, so I’m really excited.”, said Lazz after her signing on with O’Neill. “I’m honored to be part of such a progressive company, and I’ve loved riding with my teammates so far. We’re all fired up for the season ahead and it’s nice that everyone supports one another to do well.”

The 25 year old participated in last month’s O’Neill Experience in Whistler, British Columbia, where she took to the slopes with Jones and Brody Leven. Lazz hails from Lake Tahoe, CA and has been snowboarding on a regular basis since she was 12 years old. When she was 17, she began competing in Slopestyle events and rail jams including Volcom PBRJ’s, the Transworld Team Challenge and Nikita Chikita. She has become a spectacle in snowboarding mostly for her versatile riding style and charming attitude.

As her career progressed she began to get more involved in backcountry boarding and freeriding while competing in big mountain snowboarding events such as The North Face Masters, Freeride World Tour and King of the Hill. Some of her greatest accomplishments include first place finishes at the North Face Masters at Kirkwood (CA) and Crystal Mountain (WA) last year, along with close second place wins at King of the Hill and the World Heli Challenge. She has recently joined the Swatch World Tour in Chamonix, France.

Lazz will be easy to spot in her upcoming competitions and events, as she will be sporting O’Neill gear from head to foot. ” O’Neill is always on the lookout for the most exciting athletes who push their abilities and try new things for the sport,” said O’Neill Snow’s Juliet Korver “Iris has a passion for snowboarding and her personality connects with the O’Neill lifestyle perfectly. She’s always the first one on the mountain, and last off, with a smile on her face the whole time.”
