SUNDAY WAFFLES: Snowboarding. Bacon. Wine. Welcome to Portland, Oregon!

After a decent stretch of time spent on the homestead (Boulder, CO), my cameras and I were headed to Portland, Oregon for my annual trip.

Last summer, I went snowboarding at Mount Hood’s Timberline Lodge. I also tasted VooDoo Doughnut for the first time. This summer had less snow, but more confectionary treats topped with bacon. I consider it a win.

We also toured Oregon’s beautiful wine country. We visited four wineries over the course of five hours and tasted over 20 wines collectively. My favorites were both from Willamette Valley – Four Graces 2010 Pino Noir and Cooper Mountains 2010 Chardonnay. YUM.

The rest of my time was spent playing with the cutest cousins a girl can ask for. Oh, and filming the hippie dippy flower children throughout downtown Portland. For more photos from my trip to Portland, click here.

Next stop? Seattle, Washington.
