In an unfortunate run with the cops, X Games and Olympic gold medalist, Shaun White, has been arrested for hotel vandalism while being under the influence of alcohol.

A hotel in Nashville, Tennesse claims that the star athlete destoyed his room in a drunken rage, ripping out the telephone, and setting off the fire alarms resulting in a full building evacuation. Arrest warrants charging White with vandalism and public intoxication were issued Sunday morning after he refused to sign misdemeanor citations.

Media across the nation has blew up with the news after a mug shot was published of White with a black eye, published by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. According to the police report, their arrival to the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel at 2 a.m. Sunday morning found “an intoxicated man, reportedly White, who allegedly pulled a fire alarm at the hotel which caused the evacuation of all guests.”

The report continued, reading, “White reportedly attempted to flee the hotel in a cab but a citizen prevented the cab from leaving, telling the driver he was calling police.  When White overheard their conversation, he allegedly kicked the citizen and fled on foot.  The citizen reported that he chased White until White turned and ran into him apparently causing White to fall backwards and strike his head against a fence.  White was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  He was released from the hospital late this afternoon and is free on his own recognizance.  The citizen declined to prosecute White for assault.”

Reported to smell of alcohol, White was taken by police authorities for public intoxication and vandalism.

BNQT stated that White is reportedly worth $20 million and commands $2 million worth of endorsement deals with top sponsors, including Target, Burton, BF Goodrich, Stride, Oakley and his own Shaun White Supply, Co.

It is too soon to determine whether the incident will affect any sponsorship altercations.
