The organizers of Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month are encouraging snow sports industry employees to take the “Bring a Friend Challenge” this winter. The Challenge is open to all current skiers and snowboarders, and begins December 17  through March 17.

Six industry rep associations are collaborating to put together “goodie bags” that will be among the weekly prize drawings. Prizes include products from HEAD, Rossignol, and RAMP Sports.

Warren Miller Entertainment will also highlight “Bring a Friend” during its Flow State Film Tour that kicks off on October 19 in Salt Lake City. “Current skiers and snowboarders are our best channel for attracting newcomers,” said Raelene Davis, chair of the LSSM/BAF Task Force. “They can enter the Challenge as many times as they can introduce a new beginner.”

When the challenge comes to an end in March, three grand prize winners will be selected to go on a ski trip to a resort such as Park City, The Canyons, or Deer Valley. The current participant and the newcomer he or she introduced will go on a one-of-a-kind trip that covers lodging, lift tickets, rentals, and lessons for both parties.

This is definitely a great way to get more people to discover the fun of snow sports. The incentives are great and friends at different experience levels will get the chance to participate together. Details are located at bringafriend.org.
