Outdoor Technology has been building a strong reputation for innovation, and their latest offering is going to solidify it with their newest product, the Turtle Shell. Utilizing Bluetooth technology, Hi-Fi sound and a rugged-build these speakers seek to become the item of choice for action-inclined consumers. Thanks to the brilliant crowd-sourced funding platform Kickstarter, the team at Outdoor Technology has already met their fundraising goal and has begun full production on the Turtle Shell.

We are thrilled at the response that the Shell has had on Kickstarter and look forward to getting this into production.” said Caro Krissman, Co-Founder and CEO “ Motivated by this success we are likely to partake in another venture creating unique products for the masses via the Kickstarter community.”

In addition to the turtle-like design and durable materials, the company also claims that the device will be both dust and waterproof — a definite appeal for anyone embarking upon an adventure in the great outdoors. With a 10-hour battery life, you can count on a full day of use before having to recharge.

As you can see from the promotional video, the Outdoor Technology produced the Turtle Shell with the action sports enthusiast directly in mind. Whether you passionate about skating, skiing, snowboarding, biking, parkour, wingsuit base jumping, and/or hot-tubing the Turtle Shell is going to be popular choice for you auditory needs.

The speaker is fully mountable and is outfitted with the Turtle Claw all-purpose clamp. You’ll be able to mount it to a number of items including your bike handlebars.

One of the coolest aspects of this product being introduced and funded via Kickstarter is the opportunity to be among the first to get their hands on their very own Turtle Shell. Not only that, but they will only need to pony up $99 for their donation — as opposed to $149.95 when it goes to retail. There’s only 4 more days left on the Kickstarter fundraiser — so move fast!
