On October 5 and 6, 2012, the Innsbruck city halls turned into a freeski paradise. Two days, approximately 7,500 visitors, sold out screenings, the craziest parties, the best movies and the biggest star: the iF3 had everything a freeskier could want. For a look back at what went down in Innsbruck during one crazy festival weekend, check out the brand new recap video.
On October 5 and 6, the absolute freeski elite presented the 26 best films of their sport to a wide-eyed audience in sold out screenings. Enthusiastic fans were able to meet their freeski heroes such as Henrik Harlaut, Jacob Wester, Sean Pettit, Phil Casabon or Tanner Hall and at the same time, watch the latest masterpieces of the most famous movie production teams. The athletes had travelled to Innsbruck from all over the globe and were excited to meet their fans at numerous signing sessions, meet & greets and were available for autographs, pictures or a chat.
In the Brand World, exhibitors brought their latest products, presented their new product range and were more than happy to give visitors plenty of samples of their favorite products. The perfect finish for both festival days were without a doubt the legendary iF3 parties. International DJs such as the Kaiser Chiefs DJ set, DJ Friction (Freundeskreis) und Electro Ferris aka Ferris Hilton (Deichkind) and many more attracted masses of partygoers on Friday and Saturday night and made sure those nights will go down in Innsbruck’s party history.
Right before the iF3 in Innsbruck, athletes from all over Europe and the world had travelled to the iF3 Hintertux Freeski Session. Henrik Harlaut, Jacob Wester, Sean Pettit, Luke van Valin, Phil Casabon Tanner Hall and many more followed the call of the glacier and enjoyed the first days of the new skiing season in the first park to be open in Europe for the 2012/13 season. The first movie screening and after party made sure everyone was in the right mood for the festival in Innsbruck.
Even though the iF3 is over, you will not have to miss the freeski feeling for long. From October to November, the Alp-Con CinemaTour once again brings you your favorite movies. For more info about the screenings, presentations and parties of the Alp-Con CinemaTour, go to: http://www.alp-con.net.
